Every guide links back to the behaviour it describes so readers can verify claims against the tool itself.

Sources and review

Browser behaviour is checked against platform documentation for microphone capture and the Web Audio API; exposure bands follow widely published hearing guidance rather than any single vendor. Each article carries a last-reviewed date and is re-checked when the meter pipeline, the validation protocol or the underlying platform behaviour changes. We publish no laboratory accuracy percentages and no certification claims, because none apply to consumer microphones.
